It’s a double header duet today with two pieces painted to the album, Yo, by Inna, who I somehow stumbled onto via Youtube. The music-entirely in spanish (though she is known as a romanian EDM artist)- is infectious, hot, worldly, with a latin/gypsy vibe that I instantly loved. I decided to bring the color heat and the dance freedom through the brush strokes. These two prints, Tu Manera and Iguana are delivered together.

The Soundtracks : Freestyle series and technique explores the nature of freestyling through painting, visually communicating a musicality and choreography of movement through color and application of strokes and paint onto a surface. The inspiration of each piece draws from my relationship with the medium, the relationship through songs and lyrics, and the musicality of each track and how I would reinterpret it into visual form rather than movement.
